All Care Joins the Great British Care Awards Judging Panel

The Great British Care Awards are well known for recognising the tireless efforts and outstanding achievements of individuals in the Health & Social Care industry, and we are honoured to be a part of this significant event.

The Great British Care Awards aim to pay tribute to the exceptional talent and dedication found within the care sector. These awards are a beacon of recognition for those who go above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating unwavering commitment, compassion, and professionalism. Each year, the awards cast a spotlight on the unsung heroes who make a profound difference in the lives of those they care for.

After sweeping award successes in previous years Chris, Charity, Kirstie, and Gemma put on their ‘judges hats’ to support the panel of the prestigious Great British Care Awards. Our teams’ involvement in the judging panel is a reflection of the values we hold dear at All Care. We believe in the importance of recognising and rewarding excellence, and the Great British Care Awards provide the perfect platform for this. These awards celebrate a wide range of categories, from frontline care workers to managers and support staff. Therefore, all of the care sector is acknowledged and appreciated.

We interviewed the team to hear about their experiences from award winners to judges. Kirstie and Gemma from Thames Valley shared:

Winning the great British care awards national final for the home care team was an incredible experience. Being previous winners, we carry several insights that influence our perspectives when judging this year’s candidates. Having been on the receiving end of recognition we have a deeper appreciation for what excellence in care looks like. The journey of recognition can be very challenging. This perspective makes us more attuned to the resilience and commitment of the candidates. Winning a Great British care award can be transformative experience for individuals in the care sector, shaping their future contributions and helping to drive positive change within the care industry.

It has truly been an honour for us to serve on the judging panel, witnessing the dedication and compassion displayed by all the nominees. We wish all participants involved in this remarkable event, the very best of luck.

Charity from East Sussex shared these sentiments, saying:

I found being a previous winner I was looking for that one person that made me say “wow”. Some of the individuals that I interviewed had done some amazing things and it was insightful listening to them and being able to discuss ideas. For me, I think someone who is a valued winner of an award should always put others first and should have a true dedication to the care sector.

When discussing going through the process of winning a GBCA and now sitting on the judging panel, Charity also shared the following about how winning the GBCA can shape winners’ future contributions to the field. She said “I personally haven’t changed much in how I work; I feel that I was a winner because of the things that I do. Although I have continued to work in the same way, I am implementing new incentives into the branch to help develop my team which will provide higher quality care to the amazing people we support. Hearing what others had to say at the interviews this year has definitely prompted my imagination for 2025.”

All Care look forward to celebrating the achievements of all the nominees and continuing to support excellence within the care sector. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that the exceptional contributions of those in the Health & Social Care industry are celebrated.
