With over 20 years’ experience in the care sector, Tejinder Gill, better known as Ruby, is a true example of dedication, growth and compassionate leadership. Beginning her journey as a frontline care assistant, Ruby has built her career from the ground up, developing a deep understanding of the realities of care delivery and what exceptional support looks like day to day.

Since joining All Care in September 2023, Ruby has brought warmth, energy and consistency to her role. Becoming a Registered Manager in early 2025, she has gone on to lead her Oxford Extra Care schemes (Millcroft, Potters Court and Fry’s Court), where her leadership has recently helped to achieve a ‘Good’ CQC rating — a proud milestone for both her and her team.

Reflecting on the experience, Ruby shared:

“I felt nervous and anxious at the start of the CQC inspection, but as the process progressed, I grew more confident in the quality of care we provide. Achieving a ‘Good’ rating is something I’m very proud of, it reflects the hard work, commitment, and teamwork of everyone involved. For me and the team, it reinforces that we are delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care, while also motivating us to continue improving and striving for excellence.”

Ruby’s approach is centred on creating environments where people feel truly at home. Her schemes are known for being welcoming and inclusive, underpinned by strong relationships with both residents and partner teams. This collaborative approach is key to delivering seamless, person-centred care.
