A Day in the Life of a Care Supervisor: Quality Care in Action

As part of ongoing visits across All Care branches, our Operations Director, Martin Sherriff spent the day with Vesta Sopagaite and Germaine Mitchell, two exceptional Care Supervisors from our All Care East Sussex office.

Accompanying them on client visits, care plan reviews and assessments provided valuable insight into the dedication, professionalism and compassion they bring to their roles every day. Both Vesta and Germaine are fantastic ambassadors for All Care and consistently demonstrate the organisation’s values through their work.

What stood out most was the trust and respect they have built with their clients. The warm welcome they received during visits was a testament to the strong relationships they have developed over time. Through regular communication and ongoing support, they ensure care remains responsive to changing needs while helping clients feel valued, listened to and respected.

Reflecting on her role, Vesta said:

“Building trusting relationships with clients is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. Taking the time to understand what matters most to each person helps us provide support that is truly tailored to their needs.”

Throughout the day, their caring and considerate approach was evident in every interaction. Both supervisors demonstrated a genuine commitment to improving the wellbeing of those they support, creating an environment where clients felt comfortable discussing their needs and concerns openly.

Germaine shared:

“Every visit is an opportunity to make a positive difference. Whether it’s reviewing a care plan, offering reassurance or identifying additional support that could help someone remain independent, it’s all about achieving the best outcomes for our clients.”

The pair also showed a natural ability to identify opportunities where additional support could enhance a client’s quality of life and independence. These conversations were always approached thoughtfully, ensuring clients remained at the centre of decisions about their care.

Passionate advocates for All Care, Vesta and Germaine spoke proudly about the services provided and the positive impact home care has on individuals and families across the community. Their enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to delivering high-quality care were clear throughout the day.

Their professionalism and dedication are a credit to the Brighton office and serve as a wonderful example of what outstanding, regulated care looks like in practice.

Thank you, Vesta and Germaine, for your hard work, positivity and commitment to making a difference every day. All Care is proud to have you as part of the team.
